The Distribute Amount function is a powerful tool used to distribute ODC Dollars across many Financial Periods, eliminating the need to hand enter data for each period.


Distribute ODC Amount Dialog Elements

The Distribute Labor Amount menu has five elements:


  • Amount to Distribute
    • The number inputted into the Amount to Distribute section is the value that is distributed when the distribution method is specified.
  • Distribution Method
  • Starting Financial Month
  • Ending Financial Month
  • Clear Unselected Months?


Distribution Methods

There are eight (8) distribution methods available:


  • Copy to All
    • Copies the Amount to Distribute value and applies it across all months.
  • Spread Evenly
    • Distributes the Amount to Distribute value evenly across all months.
  • Zero-To-High
    • Begins at zero and and distributes the Amount to Distribute value in an ascending fashion.
  • Low-To-High
    • Begins with a low value and distributes the Amount to Distribute value in an ascending fashion.
  • Low-High-Low
    • Begins with a low value, distributes the Amount to Distribute value in an ascending fashion, then descends after the highest value is reached.
  • High-Low-High
    • Begins with a high value, distributes the Amount to Distribute value in a descending fashion, then ascends after the lowest value is reached.
  • High-To-Low
    • Begins with a high value and distributes the Amount to Distribute value in a descending fashion.
  • High-To-Zero
    • Begins with a high value and distributes the Amount to Distribute value in a descending fashion until zero is reached.


Clearing Unselected Months

By selecting Yes to the Clear Unselected Months? option, any Financial Months not included in the Starting and Ending Financial Month Range selection will be set to 0.
