Viewing Profitability
iSite’s Estimates feature supports a Profitability display for some Estimates that allows Estimators to easily view the differences between Billed and Actual amounts.
Availability
The Profitability Display is only available for Estimates that have the Time and Materials basis type in the Estimate Templates enabled. Profitability is not displayed in Cost Plus Estimates.
Note: The Profitability Display only shows profit on Labor Dollars, not ODCs or Labor Hours.

Ribbon Bar Changes
When Profitability is enabled, three additional buttons appear on the Ribbon Bar:
- Include Profit
- Controls whether the two Profitability columns are displayed or hidden in the Estimate Display.
- The Show Billed function displays the Employee Labor Class Rate multiplied by the number of labor hours that were assigned to the employee in question in the Estimate.
- The Show Actuals function displays the Employee Labor Rate multiplied by the number of labor hours that were assigned to the employee in question in the Estimate.
Note: For simplicity, this explanation assumes that no grouping options are enabled.
Note: Changing the Profitability Display from Show Billed to Show Actuals does not change any of the information in the Profit Dollars or Profit Percentage columns.
- Estimate Viewer Changes
- When Include Profit is enabled, two additional columns appear in the Estimate Viewer:
- Profit Dollars
- This column shows the difference between the Billed amounts and the Actual amounts, expressed in dollars.
- Profit Percentage
- This column shows the difference between the Billed amounts and the Actual amounts, expressed in a percentage.
