The Holidays function on the Timekeeping Modules Settings page of the Admin > Settings Page is available to manage iSite Timekeeping Holidays.  Administrators can add new Holidays, edit existing Holidays and delete Holidays.


Availability

Only users with the Portal Administrator, Timekeeping Administrator or Manage Timekeeping Settings permission will have access to this function.

Holiday Maintenance Functions

The following functions are available when performing Holiday Maintenance



Properties of a Holiday

A Holiday has the following properties:


  • Holiday Name
  • Holiday Date





The Holidays List

The Holidays list displays the Holidays that are configured and assigned to the iSite License.  The list will display the following information:


  • Holiday Name
  • Holiday Date
  • Last Updated


How to Use the Holidays List

  1. Click on the Holiday Name in the list whose information you would like to edit.
  2. Use the Filters to limit the Holidays that are displayed in the List based on the criteria in your Filters.




How to Add a Holiday

  1. Click the Add New Holiday button in the toolbar.
  2. Fill in the appropriate information in the Properties section of the page.
  3. Click the Create Holiday button to create the new record or click the Cancel button to abort the creation process.


How to Edit an Existing Holiday

  1. In the Holidays List, select the record to be edited by clicking the Holiday Name.
  2. Fill in the appropriate information in the Properties section of the page.
  3. Click the Update Holiday button to update the record or click the Cancel button to abort the editing process.


Deleting Holidays

Deleting a Holiday is a permanent change and cannot be reversed.  Proceed with caution.


How to Delete a Holiday

  1. In the Holidays List, select the record to be deleted by clicking the Holiday Name.
  2. In the Holiday Maintenance page, click the Delete this Holiday... button in the toolbar.
  3. In the confirmation message pop-up, click the OK button to permanently delete the selected record or click the Cancel button to abort the deletion process.


The selected Holiday will be permanently deleted from iSite.


How to Delete Multiple Holidays

  1. In the Holidays List, click the check box next to each record that you want to delete.
  2. Click the Delete Holidays... button in the toolbar.
  3. In the confirmation message pop-up, click the OK button to permanently delete the selected records or click the Cancel button to abort the deletion process.


The selected Holidays will be permanently deleted from iSite.


Importing Holidays

Rather than manually entering Holidays into iSite, you also have the ability to import well known and commonly celebrated Holidays.  This makes it easy to setup Holidays quickly for a given year.  You can always add your own special Holidays after the fact.


How to Import Holidays

  1. Click the Import Holidays button on the toolbar.
  2. Select the Year that you want to import Holidays for.
  3. In the Holidays checkbox list, click the check box next to each Holiday that you want to import.
  4. Click the OK button to import the selected Holidays or click the Cancel button to abort the import process.


The selected Holidays will be imported into iSite.
